Beyond The Herd

Humans have strength in numbers. Forming cohesive herds is part of our survival instinct. So we either try to change other members of our pack to be like us or we try to change ourselves to be like others. If neither of those works, we search for a pack that we fit into better. And that’s okay; it’s human nature.
My story of reality is in alignment with my own journey. It’s not meant to be your story of reality, and it’s not more enlightened than your story. I’m not here on a quest for enlightenment. I’m here to experience being human. To connect with other humans. To live this messy, perfectly imperfect life. And, yes, I am fulfilling my soul purpose, building bridges, doing my healing work. But I am blindly, cluelessly navigating this realm, just like everyone else is.
So you be you, cuz you are awesome, and I’ll be me. It’s safe to have our own differing stories of reality. We don’t need to alter them for cohesiveness. I see you. I see your big, beautiful soul, who is guiding you through the haze. And I’m rooting for you as you follow that guidance and walk your own path. I have no desire for you to deviate from it to have it resemble my path.
I love you, exactly as you are.
